Château Haut Ferrand 2010

The Gasparoux family are now into their 5th generation of winemaking at Château Haut Ferrand. Their vineyards sit just next to the church and date back to 1874, making the Gasparoux's true stalwarts of Pomerol in Bordeaux's storied Right Bank. Taken from the exceptional vintage of 2010, this wine is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The predominance of Merlot in the Château Haut Ferrand blend provides sweetness and roundness associated with the Cab giving its gorgeous bouquet of fruit and herbs. Sophisticated, elegant and utterly harmonious; it's a wine which was born to go with game.
